OUR HISTORY
Star Essence traces its roots back 17 years, when it was owned and operated by Laura May Chisom. The traditions and values of strong technique with a family friendly atmosphere continue to thrive today, under the ownership of Kiera Regan. Everyone truly is a star at Star Essence, from our youngest recreational dancers in our outstanding preschool program, to our award winning Luminous Dance Ensemble competition team.

Miss Kiera will be Celebrating her 10th year as owner of Star Essence this season 2009-2010! Congratulations Miss Kiera!

Classroom features:

Our Marley floor provide the necessary flex to absorb impact and prevent injury.
Fixed mounted Ballet barres on two walls mounted at the appropriate heights.
Huge mirrors that go wall to wall from the floor to 6 feet in height.
State-of-the-art sound systems with wall/ceiling mounted speakers to maximize danceable space.
Soothing paint colors to aid in creating an inviting atmosphere without being distracting.

OUR ANNUAL RECITAL
Each year, our dance season culminates in a full-scale dance production that every dancer is involved in. Our June productions are more than just a recital; they are a story incorporating dance, acting, scenery and special effects, to make a show that is enjoyable for everyone who is watching. Dancers will begin learning their routines for the show in January.
